Well, we don’t like name-dropping, but it’s our friends from Brae, who dropped in for a visit and some date scones this week. For those of you that don’t know Brae, it’s a wonderful restaurant nestled in the countryside just outside Birregurra in Central Victoria.
They have an amazing approach to their craft, growing nearly all their own veggies on site and sourcing their meat and other produce from local farmers. What we love is that they honour the chickens they buy from us, by using all the bird from beak to tail. Heads, necks, feet, hearts, giblets all get a run and the results are sublime.
Oh, and I forgot to mention, that last year they were voted Australia’s Restaurant of the Year!
